My husband has pain all the way across is lower abdomen but about the pelvic area. It's about an inch below his belly button. He says it is like a muscle pull. I am thinking maybe diverticulitis since he has been eating salads for the the last 2 days.

Are his bowel and urine movements normal or are there some foods that seem to cause pain as well after a meal?

urine movements normal and does it hurt right after the meals he has had of salad and the other foods he may have eaten

Reply to Cheryl K.'s Post: his bowels seem to be normal and his urine is normal. The other night he had 2 margaritas and some chips and he was bloated from that. He did not tell me if it hurt after he had eaten the salads. that was just my guess about the diverticulitis. he says it feels like a muscle cramp all the way across.
