I am a 30year old. active female. I have had acne almost my whole life, but only in spurts. Recently I have quit smoking marijuana, due to the fact that I became aware of the testosterone levels that are produced from chronic smoking. This last month I have experienced one of the worst outbreaks ever, irregular period, lasting longer than usual. Also a slight sinus and ear infection is lingrering. Today, I noticed a small dime sized lump about an inch an a half from my chin. Do you think I am experiencing a thyroid issue here or what else?

Would you clarify the exact location of this lump? Is it in the midline in neck or on the jaw or at one side of neck- about an inch an a half from chin?

Is it painful? red? tender?

For how long do you have ear & sinus infection?

Are you taking any treatment for this infection?

lump is in the middle area about an inch an half from jaw line, directly back, but not in neck area at all, closer to the chin, under the tonge area...
not painfull or red, but slightly tender.
The sinus inf. started about 1 month ago, with scabs and excess amounts of crusty hard, and deep boogers, (sorry) mostly in mornings. The ear just started bugging me 2 days ago. Left side only is closed. Etreme vertigo is experienced whe I try to slightly pop them.

ACCEPTED Check Mark

The lump you descibe is most likely an inflammed enlarged lymph node that is draining the infected ear & sinus area.
I would suggest consulting an otorhinolaryngologist (ear-nose-throat specialist) for physical exam & treatment of the ear & sinus infection with prescription antibiotics , anihistaminics & anti-vertigo drugs. The lymph nodes will heal for themselves when the infection in ear & sinuses heals.
