Is acne around the genitals common when you shave that are? Like a hard lump under the skin that pops normally like a pimple or an ingrown hair.

In short...yes.

The genital skin is relatively thin (hence the ability to derive pleasure). Add to it that when skin is shaven, it gets microscopic or even not so microscopic tears. That allows bacteria and other germs to enter. That begets pimples, blackheads and the like. If you have courser curlier hair, ie African-American hair, the likelihood of getting blemishes.

Next time try waxing for most of the area. Never use a chemical to remove hair in that area unless it expressly states that it is safe for such an application. You can also try the following link (this is not an endorsement):

Ok that makes sense and I figured it was normal but paranoia makes you check. So I dont need to be worried about it. Even if it cant be popped and remains for a few days? Been trying to pop it but that just made it sore. I have been shaving more recently so it makes perfect sense. Anything else it could be though? Figure I'll get as much info as I can before I click accept. Its not alot of money really but with what I'm paid it is lol.
