Question

My son was diagnosed with exzema when he was 12

Sent to Health Experts October 12, 2006 10:25 p.m.

My son was diagnosed with exzema when he was 12 months old. The medications that he was prescribed did not work. They made the bumps worse. The bumps look like pimples and get inflammed like pimples do. It started on his cheeks and gradually down his arms. Now he is covered basically from head to toe. Can you give me an answer to whether this is exzema, or some other type skin problem.
Thank You.

Optional Information:
Female , Age: 27

Already Tried:
elidel 3 other prescribed medications. I use non perfumed soaps and detergents. His skin problem has just gotten worse over the years. He is 6 and kids at school actually make fun of him

Dear 2 christina,

I would really need to see a photo of this condition to properly diagnos it. from your description, the only other thing besides exzema that I can perceive it being is acne vularis.

Here is a picture of a severe case of exzema.
