My girlfriend has cystic acne, and she is taking a medication called isotretinoin(accutane), and the doctor she has put her on a steroid. She has been on these med for a year and they helped alot, but she is becoming very upset, when she sees that her face wont look the same again. Is that all that can be done with this form of ache? She tried a lotions and creams and the doctors are kind of giving her the run around and saying that we are not really sure what that is. Is there anyting we can do?
