My son Dalton is going thru something that I can not understand. He's a 10 year old, smart, bright, and very intelligent when he puts fourth the effort-(as all his teachers have said numerous times to me)--But, he's lazy and goes thru I believe depression. His behavior/conduct since pre-school has always been very disappointing to us all. Up until this past school year he's carried F's in conduct. The 5th grade is when he made a big improvement--B's then an A! Wow! But, Dalton has always wanted to talk out his nose, he's seen the school speech therapist til' she released him 6mths ago. He's not interesting in nothing! He's bored more now than ever, he gets happy when his buddy Josh stays over. He bites his nails, he's always slept with a light on. He thinks there's ghost in the house. He keeps his ratt-terrier dog with him always.1 month ago while cleaning his room I found Urine in 3 seperate containers, tonight I got up to snack on cereal, I hear watercoming from his room upstairs and pouring into the stairs carpet, I ran to check on it and Dalton lied and said it was water---I knew he lied,I told him it was pee and he said it was--no reason at all but being scared of going to the bathroom. I think he may be going thru some sort of a disorder--maybe after being told for so long thru the school--I didn't see nothing wrong with him---But I'm seeing more. I took him to his ped. 2-3 years ago to be checked for adhd---Dr. Willis said he was all boy. When other kidds are around him Dalton talks very loud and I notice his very rude to smaller ones. His father says he's very mind strong! My mother-in-law is a RN--she's always spoiled Dalton to the max!! He's the only child left at home. I was pretty sure I've taught him well! But, apparently not! I believe he's more concerned with his weight--I'm lost and scared and I sure could use your advice. Sincerely, Alice Megehee
