He was put on depakote last october for 8 weeks, it did nothing but make him gain wait. he also has seen psychiatrists that wanted to put him on sleeping pills and prozac, he did not want to go on them and we did not force it. He is not taking anything now, and the symptoms have not improved. some days are better than others. He was told by one doctor he had seizures, but the video eeg at Children's Hopsital of PA did not show anything. Not neurological according to them. We live in NJ in a high lyme disease area, but he has been tested numerous times for lymes too with only lyme activity showing not enough for a diagnosis we are told.

Just a few more questions. You state "seizures". Has epilepsy been ruled out. He is on depokote..........is or has he been dx'd as Bipolar or ADHD ADD. Has he been tested for the Epstein Barr virus. Has he had a full Cranial Scan for any abnormalities.

He had two brain mri that were normal. This began the end of August 05 the same time he had a big growth spurt. He was only on depakote for 8 weeks last october. He does not have epilepsy. He has had numerous blood tests, from 4 different doctors, one at a lyme clinic. I think they tested for epstein barr. He saw a psychiatrist at children's hospital also. No diagnosis of bipolar or add., just slightly depressed because of dealing with the loss of his life. He used to be very active, play lots of sports and was very thin. He has gained weight and is not active at all. When he tries to dribble a ball he feels unbalanced. Sometimes when he talks his tongue hangs out a little and his speech is a little slurred. He never loses consiousness or falls down completely.
