I have had gotten violently ill twice this week.

I have had gotten violently ill twice this week after leaving dinner with friends. In both occasions I had a glass or two of wine with a heavy meal. I am getting over a kidney infection and I am not sure if that is related. I am taking cipro for the infection and I am not sure if that mixed with the alcohol is making me sick. The only other thing that I could think of is maybe these are gallbladder attacks because both occurred after I ate a heavy fatting meal.

Hello

Gall bladder attacks generally do not cause vomitting. They will usually have a pain in the right upper rib area which may also be in your chest or mid back. Chances are what you are experiencin is a reaction to the cipro and alcohol. I would abstain until the cipro is complete.
