what is causing this pressure on my right side? I am afraid that I have a liver problem. My liver has had elevated functions (82 alt) from time to time, but I do take lipitor 40mg as well as drink alcohol and have had very high triglcerides. Can this be cirrohsis? I am 37 and have a 6 month old little boy and I am scared to death that my past has caught up with me. I feel fine other wise.

Your liver functions are most likely elevating from time to time fron the alcohol you are drinking if you have been drinking for some time or consume large amounts of alcohol when you do drink. The pressure on your right side could either come from a gallbladder issue or you could possibly be developing an ulcer so I would recommend talking with your physician so they can run some tests and bloodwork to determine if one of these could be the issue with the pressure that you are feeling. It can relate to cirrhosis and it would be good if they checked your liver as well since your liver does have elevated functions from time to time. But the main causes could be gallbladder, ulcer, or your liver so I would suggest that you have further testing performed to determine the exact cause.
