Hi, I am 21 years old. I was recently having problems that felt like sinis related. My head was hurting for a few days straight. Behind my eyes and around the temple area. It was a lot of pressure. But the thing that scared me was my throat felt like it closed a lot, and was hard to get food down it. I would eat slowly and small amounts. But then I was getting these sharp chest and rib pains. The chest pains kind of go around the chest muscle, and then sometimes right through it. It feels as if something is dropping through it. Its a very odd feeling. I take Aciphex twice a day. Once in the morning and once in the evening. So i am pretty sure that it is not acid reflux. Even though I do feel the food and even water is hard to get down. Last night it was so hard to get some sleep because of all the sharp pains going through my chest and ribs, and even upper left of back. I was finally able to fall to sleep and when I woke up this morning, I just have like this on and off burning sensation in my stomach. Every morning when I wake up my chest really hurts. Mostly right in the sternum area.If I move my chest I can actually crack it. I do have allergies, and I take singulair every night for it, as well as going for allergy shots once a week. My doctor treated me for sinis' and gave me biaxin. It has been a week and I finally went back and this time he gave me Levaquin. Still not addressing anything about my pains, and troubles of getting food down. Maybe he is thinking that it is just mucus dripping down and doing all this? Is that even possible? I was wondering what you thought the problem could be, as well as what tests I should do. Thank you for your help

I feel that you may be sufferring from severe gastritis or an acid peptic disease/ peptic ulcer...
This may have been worsened due to the antibitoics that you have been taking.
The postnasal drip does not seem likley to cause these symptoms...

Taking a tablet like Omeprazole/ along with antacid like gelusil may help your symptoms. Avoiding spicy food and high fatty content and alcohol should also help..

Reply to Gaurav Gupta's Post: So should I go back to my doctor and ask for those meds? And what do you make of the headache? Just allergies? Its just deep behind the eyes, and on the sides. Lately I have been getting them on and off. But at the beginning of the week they were non stop headaches.
