I have both H 1 and 2 . We all have herpes simplex one from Chicken pocks which carries the initial virus. H2 is sexually transmitted by an open sore only. Mine were dormant for more than 25 years and suddenly they both surfaced with age and stress and poor nutrition and lack of sleep. They seem to become active when your body is week . Nothing to worry about, just take a little Zoverox or the newer version keep the area clean and apply a viral gel to the open areas. No not put alcohol on the open sores.
Another form of herpes is Shingles , the open sores around your mid section and stomach and upper legs. I had this also from a bought with Alcoholism in which if not treated immediately and correctly can grow to your face and scar permanently.
All of these V1,2,3 live in your spine, usually the lower part about six vertebra's from the bottom of your spine.
The only way to show positive is if the herpes virus is active .
H1 can not be transfered to H2 by oral sex , they are two different strains. H 3 or shingles usually surprise older people or those whose bodies liver and kidneys are not functioning well.
Drinks lots of water and use the above medication or what your Doctor says . Your Husband can relax now. It can live is is living dormant all of your life in one form or another.
