Can alcohol cause you to lose your voice? My daughter can ...

Can alcohol cause you to lose your voice? My daughter can drink one alcohol beverage and she will be hoarse the next day. It only affects her when she drinks but it is every time no matter if it is one or several. Is this a serious medical problem?
