Reply to Doctor_Shiv(M.D)'s Post: It is not constant.

No, chest pain.

It can happen through out the day. I have been under stress.

No, medication.

Though, when I do feel like I have a hiccup I do get a pain in my back to the left side. Though, it is not a actual back pain.

Well, emotional stress, sudden excitment may cause such symptoms. It occurs due to irritation of vagus nerve. First thing and most important- Avoid stress. avoid alcohol and taking too hot food, avoid spicy meals. When you have have hiccups, then you should - hold breath for 10 seconds, swallow a teaspoon of sugar. Usually it will slowly go away by its own. If not, then take tab metclopramide(reglan) . Also drink cold water at that time.

Hope this helped.
