I experience a swelling sensation at the base of my throat, in front, off and on and it as if I''m unable to lower my chin down without feeling swollen. This occurs off and on;irradically and then disappears for days and comes back. When this occurs it is sometime hard to swallow vitamins as if there is something protruding that the pill bumps up against when I swallow. This goes away and comes back as well. Any Idea? I am 56 year old female who had a hysto in 2004. I''ve experienced weight gain even though I don''t eat alot of sweets or fast foods or fried foods regularly. I have allergies and sinus problems that come and go as well. I was wondering if the problem could be my thyroid. My mothers side of the family are thin to normal side but my dad''s side of the family has 300-400 pounders and or very thin members. I look like my dad''s side of the family but my dress sizes have been consistent with my mother at her age e.g, at 30, 40, 50 etc. Thanks

Nothing. It is happening more frequently and I'm concerned. Since my hystorectomy I experience lack of concentration and focus. I have the ability to stay in bed and just watch TV for hours and it seems like a short period of time. I don't want to do anything I used to e.g., exercise, baths with all the fixin's; I force myself to take a shower every few days although I do take wash-offs. I'm retired and on disbility for my spine degeneration. The loss of desire is disturbing. Thanks
