I do no have my tonsils or adnoids and have never had a problem with my throat in all my 68 years so far. I have no allergies that I know about except for pennicilin and sulfa. Three weeks ago my throat and ear began to feel thick and the ENT doctors said that they felt and looked normal to them. They said that I had no infection in my nose or sinises. My lymphs they said looked good. The feeling came back a few days ago and I am scared of what could have gone wrong. Tonight I had warm soup for dinner and m throat thickened and I could swallow, but it felt thick again. I had lobula breast cancer 16 years ago and have been tested and well since. Can you tell me what makes a throat feel likes it''s closing, with warm or hot liquids?

These symptoms sound almost like some type of allergic reaction. It may be necessary to have some allergy testing done

Could these symptoms be a serious condition or could they be any more than an allergy?
