Asthma questions

I took seizure medicine(tegretol), for 5 years. I have severe asthma and my inhaler just won't do the trick anymore. I am afraid to take any asthma medication because of my past with seizures, should I be worried? My grandfather died of emphesema at age 68 and my mom has advanced COPD. The area in which I live is in a valley, known for high humidity, and has many chemical plants. I am considering moving to the coastal area of South Carolina, is this a good area for people who suffer from asthma?

Are you using an over the counter inhaler or is it prescribed?

My husband has suffered from severe asthma since he was 4 years old - in and out of hospitals throughout his childhood - 10 years ago, he began suffering from Grand mal seizures. He was using over the counter inhalers - but, due to his health declining, he is now on prescribtion inhalers - Knock on wood, he hasn't had a seizure in 2 years.

Your doctor would be the one to prescribe/adjust any medications for you.

Try to relax as well since that exacerbates your conditions.
