I had cervical discetomy 5 months ago c5/c7 with titanium plate and screws holding new bone in place.I continue to have pain and swelling in my neck muscles and throat.I had barium esophogram which was normal and mri of neck was normal and x-rays of neck are normal.Surgeon can not tell me what is causing the continuous swelling.I am searching for answers.

Although apparently very uncommon, there have been allergies to titanium.
