Can you have GERD without heartburn symptoms. I have a chronic cough, and have a bad taste in my mouth, could my cough be GERD, I don't get heartburn ever.

The main symptom of GERD is heartburn. The other symptoms you have are sub symptoms. So to answer your question I would have to say no. Now that doesn't mean you may not, however from the main stand point of GERD it wouldn't fit in that category.

From the symptoms you do have it sounds as though it may be Sinusitis though or some form of sinus infection. Which would cause a chronic cough and leave a bad taste in your mouth. Which could be caused any where from allergies to an infection.

You may need an antibiotic, either way you should be evaluated so that way you can get the correct medication and treatment.
