Hi Hana,

Colds and flu are caused by viruses -- not bacteria -- which means that antibiotics will not be effective in treating them.

It is possible that your husband's symptoms are caused by allergies -- which can be brought on by sensitivity to certain kinds of animals, plants -- or even do something more unusual like hidden mold or some other environmental allergen in your home or his workplace.

Two other possibilities are chronic/recurring tonsillitis or some underlying disease which could be indirectly affecting his immune system.

In any case -- your husband should be evaluated by a physician in order to determine the cause behind these symptoms -- so that he can start receiving effective treatment.

If he has already seen a doctor -- I strongly recommend that he see a different doctor -- perhaps an infectious disease specialist-- for a second opinion.

Let me know if you need more input. If not, thanks for the opportunity to assist you... Please honor my efforts by pushing the green 'Accept' button (located within this post -- above-right). Adding a bonus -- should you wish to do so -- would be warmly welcomed.

Good Luck!
