My eyelids are swollen and I'm experiencing itchy skin, bad excema, and mid to lower back pain, which is worse when I'm standing. Other than that I feel fine. Should I be worried about kidney problems or just wait a day and see if it goes away?

Reply to Cheryl K.'s Post: no pain while urinating, and no stomach pain... when I change positions in sleep and when I stand up from sitting or laying down I feel a heavy but dull pain sortof in my middle back or sortof around my diaphragm and my breathing is slightly impaired... when I sit back down or lay down it goes away gradually... I don't know if that helps

Yes that helps some. If you are not having any pain while urinating or abdominal pain then it can still be the sign of kidney problems but nothing too urgent yet. I would suggest drinking plenty of fluids along with some cranberry juice and see if this seems to help along with some Tylenol for the dull ache in your back. A warm compress will help as well. If you still have the pain or start to have any of the signs I asked about then you do need to be seen as most likely antibiotics will be needed and they will need to run a urinalysis. The eyelids can be swollen due to allergy, or a sign of the excema but due to the swelling and the itching you are having you should take a dose of benadryl and see if this helps as this is for allergies and itching and should help some. If you continue to experience the pain then I would recommend you be seen as it sounds as though you have a couple of issues going on and they can best treat them all in one visit.
