My 15 year old has swollen glands behind his ears and under the jawline, one at the base of the back of the neck where it meets the shoulder. He had a fever and flu like symptoms on June 28, the fever was high. He seems fine otherwise but complains of tenderness when glands are touched, except for the one at the base of his neck. It is larger then a pea. He also has had a mild sore throat. My main concern is that he has had really bad allergies on and off since April. We live in California. I am taking him to the docter today but am worried about a more serious problem in a generally healthy child. Should I worry about cancer related lymphomas?
