REPLIED Check Mark

This really depends upon the cause for the circles, as there are several reasons this can occur. It could be due to allergies, fatigue, side effects to medications, aging, congestion of the nose, sometime it is something that is passed down from generations as well.

No this answer was not helpful. I know the causes. My question is how to eliminate or tone them down like plastic surgery, bleaching creams and concealers. Any other options?

If you know what is causing this, example: if you are not getting enough rest, and you do get rest, then they will slowly fade away. If it's due to allergies, if you get allergies under control, the same will apply here.

Other wise a cosmetic dermatologist may be best. Which some treatment options can be a prescribes lightening cream, a chemical peel or by having a laser resurfacing. This all depends upon how severe this may be. Example: Lightening creams work gradually by changing the cells to produce less pigment. You can look for some OTC lightening cream, but it will take longer to help vs getting a prescription strength. If you opt for chemical peel or laster resurfacing, this will remove layers of damaged skin and help to make pigmentation less noticeable. In order to find your own best solution, you should follow up with the doctor, keep in mind, this also works in conjunction with what is or has caused this as well.

Hope this helps Hun.

By knowing the causes, I mean age, sun and hereditary. I am not on any medications and am retired so I get plenty of rest. Please respond as to solutions to dark circles. THank you.
