Cough for 4 months

Sent to Health Experts September 25 08:14 PM

I've had a loose sounding cough for 4 months now. It's very sporadic but seems to be worse at night. I have no other symptoms and I have never had anything like this. It began in May when the weather turned Hot. Is it an allergy?

This could very well be allergy related and usually when you are in an inclined position such as a prone position for sleeping it can be more pronounced. You should try using a humidifier at night as this will help to addd some moisture to the air in your house which can help to lessen the cough and also use some Robitussin for cough and chest congestion but this can very well be related to allergies especially if you are not suffering from any chest pain or fever which could relate to bronchitis or pneumonia.
