noodle allergy

Sent to Health Experts September 26 11:32 AM

About 5 years ago I became allergic to noodles. All kinds except rice noodles. I get so sick that death would be preffered. I have it right now because I did not see a tiny chunck of a noodle in a resaurant meal. When I get sick, I fart out of my mouth      ( believe me I can clear a house) and the taste is unimaginal and also have severe diarrea for 7 to 10 days and usually end up in the hospital dehydrated. Is there any thing I can do to stop the symptoms and reverse the problem befor it starts?

You need to see an allergist to be tested to determine WHAT you are allergic to. "Noodles" may contain a number of ingredients - basically flour (eggs in some) - but it would be one of the ingredients in the noodle.

An allergist could test to determine the exact cause - and may be able to offer you some help. Usually with food allergies - avoidance is the best approach. If they can identify the specific component - wheat flour for example - they may be able to find noodles that do not contain the particular ingredient. (Such as your discovery that rice noodles are OK)
