Hello,

I would suggest that you make an appointment with a dermatologist. That is the type of specialist best suited to exam your scalp, provide an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan.

You may have alopecia areata. Here is some info, let me know if you have questions:

that looks like people who are balding...im not really balding, i cant even tell by looking at my head that ive lost hair, but the bottom of the sink and shower can. the main thing is this scab on my head. its bleeding and that area of my scalp is flaking off. my dog has fleas and someone told me if you are allergic to the fleas it can cause this type of scabbing...is this true?? ive had pre cancer cells on my cervix removed twice this year which i really doubt is significant to this but i thought i would mention it. on one website they said if you have a bad immune system this can happen to your scalp...i had pneumonia really bad when i was little and have a terrible immune system..again, i dont know if this is significant, but thought id let you know.
