I do not have a fever or a cold...I do have allergies and I recently just got over a mild stomach virus. Today when I woke up, I have a heaviness in my upper chest when I breath deep. I'm a little congested from allergies but nothing major. I also smoke cigarettes. The heaviness/tightness which is painful is in my throat and upper chest. What could this be?

This is upper respiratory tract infection coupled with allergy.

You should take antiallergic Tab. Allegra 120mg 1OD

Antibiotic Azythromycin 500 mg TDS

Vitamin C & B complex.

Besides the Vitamin B&C complex, is there anything else I can take that is non-prescription?

Instead of Allegra you can take Cetrizine 10 mg oD for 5 days.

Tab Tylenol 500mg TDS

Steam inhalation & saline gargles will cure you.
