No. I was recently at my mother's house and she had some very old wool blankets.
I developed hives as a result.
I haven't used the wool since then, but the hives are still there. What can I use to treat the hives? How long will it take for them to go away?

Thank you for the additional information:

The first thing I would suggest that you wash all clothing that you were wearing at the time, in case you still have any wool fibers on your clothing.

Benadryl or Claritin are two over the counter antihistamines that you could try. For itchy allergic reaction, I usually recommend Benadryl, however it will likely cause drowsiness - a good thing at night, but not that great in the AM.

If these do not work, call your doctor, and they could give you a prescription for some prednisone.
