In horsing around with my 22 year old son, I was "feeling his muscle" (biscep) in his arm. I felt spherical bodies, some maybe a fourth inch in diameter all around the 4-6 inch area that I was putting pressure on - like under the skin, not like in the muscle. What on earth could that be? He is thin - 145 lbs. at 5'11" - prescriptions for respiratory allergies, but no other know maladies. I don't feel these in my arm nor my husband's.

I didn't want to freak him out - my sensation was that it was weird that they were there, and many in number. They were not rock-hard, and my sensation was that they were malleable (I think that is what they call it -- when I have had mammograms they have you have practice checking a model of a fake breast and practice discriminating between normal feeling lumpy tissue and nodes and harder unmoveable lumps that might be cancer). I guess the hardness felt like
the "normal" stuff that is in my breasts - whether that is milk ducts or fybrocystic stuff or whatever - but in my son the bodies were smaller - maybe 1/4 inch and more numerous.

Hi.

Simply sounds like fatty tissue.

I do not think you need to worry.

Thanks- I appreciate your help. We'll just mention it to the doc he gets his allergy meds from next time he goes - but I will be glad not to worry until then!
