I have a reacurring red raised patch that goes away and comes back in the same place a couple months latter on the cheek of my butt. It is the only place and it itches a lot. It seems to run its course and eventually goes away, nothing I put on it seems to help. The patch feels kind of hard and bumpy about the size of a quarter or a little bigger.

Is the rash itchy when it appears?
How long has this been going on?
Any other correlation between the rash and other symptoms-liek eating a new food, new hygiene product use etc.?
Have you been seen by your physician for this / a dermatologist?
Does it ooze?
Any allergies / dry skin that you may be having?
regards
Dr. Gupta

Yes the rash is very itchy and it has been coming and going for probably a year. I cannot correlate it to any particular thing, I know that when I have it, it seems to be irritated more when I work out. Maybe that is just the fabric rubbing on it. It does not ooze but it looks like a bunch of little pimples real concentrated. I do not have any allergies that I know of and my skin seems to be normal as far as dryness is concerned.
