How long has it been since you have had a dental check and did they perform only MRI's or any x-rays too? Do you suffer from allergies and how long continually have you had the swelling pain, and enlarged lymph nodes? Or does it seem to come and go and stop for ahile if they try antibiotics? This will allow me to be of better help to you. Thank you.

There has been ongoing dental regarding implants for the past 7 months. I had ENHANCED CT SCAN OF NECK. There is parenchymal scarring involving both upper lobes. There ismucosal thickening involving the anterior floor of the maxillary sinuses bilaterally and mild nasoseptal deviation to the left.

I do suffer from seasonal allergies mostly to flora and mold.

The swelling and pain, along with low grade fevers have been on-going for about 3 months.

ACCEPTED Check Mark

This sounds more dental than anything and if you have been ongoing dental work this could be why if there is any infection still present. The lymph nodes work to help trap infection and remove it from the body but when they stay swollen for more than 3-4 days this can be a sign of infection. It could also be that combined with your seasonal allergies that you may either have some sinus infection as well that would cause the swelling, pain, and fever as the ears. nose, and throat are all connected so this would cause this to occur and that would be why you are seeing the swollen lymph nodes, along with pain and swelling in your face so they should start you on a course of antibiotics and see if this responds to treatment as well as treat your level of pain also.
