ACCEPTED Check Mark

Hi--it sounds that you have:

Systemic Pruritis. see link:

http://dermnetnz.org/systemic/itch.html

As link suggests, a number of systemic disorders [some quite serious] can cause this condition. You need to see your physician, to get checked [and ruled out] for the following:

  • Kidney dz
  • Liver dz
  • Diabetes
  • Thyroid dz
  • Blood disorders [eg. anemia; leukemias]
  • Neuropathic pruritis

Most likely--one of the above is triggering this. Complete blood tests will reveal the Dx, which is always the 1st step to getting proper Treatmt.

Take care.
