every time, after waking up, my fingers are numb. sometimes ...

every time, after waking up, my fingers are numb. sometimes two fingers on both hands, sometimes all fingers on one hand, sometimes all fingers on both ands. it causes me to wake up at night. i can't find a position to sleep in to keep it from happening. when i get up it feels like the joints in my hands and elbows only are stiff. when my fingers are numb, i can still move them, i just can't feel them. it never happens during the day!
