i have dull tingles in my left arm this is not constant

Sent to Health Experts January 08 11:46 AM

I have dull tingles in my left arm. This is not constant, and I feel it more in the morning. We sleep on a high quality "foam" type bed that is quite hard. I have had a stress test (last year) and the results were normal. The tingles are felt most in the tricept, and I do sleep on that arm. My mother has hypo-thyroid. This does not interfere with my everyday life, but I would like to know what is causing it. Any ideas?

Generally numbness indicates a pinched or entrapped nerve. Since this is generally in the A.M. then it appears that the way you are sleeping is pinching on a nerve which may be due to the hard bed as well. You can try a different sleeping position to see if this will help. Also you can determine through a nerve test if this is just the start of being an entrapped nerve as well. But since it' s not all day at this point, it points to sleep position/bed.

Hope this helps, If you need anything else please feel free to ask. If you found this helpful don’t forget to click the *accept* button!
