I HAVE HAD ITCHY ARM PITS FOR SEVERAL WEEKS. CANNOT SEE ANY RASH OF DISCOLORATION

The itching may be fungal even though you see no rash
The cortisone may be fueling the fire. Stop the coritison and any deoderant, antiperspirant you are using. Try antifungal cream like lotrimin followed by powder to keep the area dry. You should start to have relief in 7-10 days if this is the culprit.
