I have been bruising eaisly, and lately I have had this burning, and tightening sensation on the left side of my chest, right behind my breast. I also get this tingling (like when your arm falls asleep and then it tingles when your moving it) from the back shoulder blade behind my left breast ( where my heart is) and it goes all the way down my arm. Sometimes (usually) I have the latter symptoms reqularly. But the burning sensation not as often, also, I have noticed time to time my feet, hands, and face swollen but it goes away. I do work with computers. Please let me know what you think!

Relist: I want a different opinion.
I have a tingling from my elbow, through to my fingers when I put my arm on my arm rest, or something tiggers it. But I also have this burning sensation starting underneath my left breast (where my heart is) and it seems to go to the back behind it also.   I dont know if this is linked together or what??

Hello Again:

If you look at your original post, you didn't say that the burning sensation starts under your left breast and seems to go to the back behind it. You said "lately I have had this burning, and tightening sensation on the left side of my chest, right behind my breast".

The description you give for the tingling in your arm is also a little different than it is in your original post. The way that you've stated it in this post leads me to strongly suggest carpal tunnel syndrome.

As for the burning sensation that begins under your breast and seems to go around to the back behind it, is still suggestive of arthritis. The area that you are describing is your rib cage. Arthritis can occur in this region as it can in any other region. It occurs when calcium deposits are made on the bone. And, trust me it burns. More so when you are fatigued.

While this could also indicate something else, it isn't something that one could diagnos on line. This would have to be seen by your physician.

In addition to your original post, referencing the bruising. I mentioned to you that bruising is an indicator of diabetes, it is also an indicator of Luekemia.

For these and the other concerns that you shared in your original post, I highly recommended that you see your physician. Istill believe this is in your best interest.

Finally, no...I don't think that the burning sensation is related to the tingling that you experience in your elbow and fingers.

I am not a medical doctor; however, I am a doctor. My field is clinical psychology. We go through an extensive educational process regarding the brain and human anatomy and the functions and interactions, therein. We have to because our clients often times take serious medications and we have to know the interactions of these with the brain and body.

I am also a licensed Esthetologist. More anatomy; however, our clinic stays busy with clients that are seeking out the fountain of youth through Botox, laser and chemical peels. I also diagnos and treat every skin disease you can think of.

I am only adding this information to assure you that the experts at Just Answer are sound. If we aren't knowledged in a domain we aren't allowed to respond to the questions in that category. Trust me, I know nothing about cars! Hope this puts you at ease.

I have been told that the Salvation Army and the American Red Cross will provide assistance to persons that need health care but can't afford it.

I hope that you don't have to wait until November to see a doctor. Is there anything that you have tried at home to provide relief for your symptoms (stomach to rib to back).

I have seen clients with GERD's (Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disorder)that have had these symptoms (now that you have added abdomen)!

You can purchase Zantac (over the counter) and it helps to reduce the acids in the stomach. You can also try Gaviscon with this. Gaviscon is taken immediately after eating a meal. When ingested it swells up, kind of like a foam, and prevents the stomach acids from coming up into the esophagus.

GERD's can be very painful and the pain can radiate from the abdomen up into the rib cage and then make you feel like you are being stabbed with a knife in the back.

I'm not recomending that you try this in lieu of seeing a doctor, I'm only suggesting something that, if it helps, might relieve some of your pain until you can be seen. Even if what you are describing is GERD's, it needs to be treated under the care of a doctor. when left untreated over a long period of time, the stomach acids can cause damage to the esophagus.

I know that you are frightened. I will keep you in my prayers. do let me know if I can help you further.

Let me now how things work out for you.
