Hello,

I would suggest making an appointment with your doctor for an accurate diagnosis.

Your symptoms could all be connected, but most likely are separate in nature.

Your tongue and lips may be swollen as a result of an allergic reaction to something you have recently eaten or perhaps a new medication. How long has this been going on? Are you experiencing trouble swallowing or breathing along with the swelling?

Chest pain should never be ignored. It could be something as simple as muscle strain or be cardiac in nature. I would suggest that you have your doctor perform an EKG.

Arm numbness can be due to a pinched nerve and could be associated with your mild chest pain. A chiropractor is often beneficial in helpong to relieve the symptoms. Deep tissue massage, along with gentle rotation & stretching exercises combined with ice and heat packs will usually provide resolution of your symptoms in five to seven days.

As the weather is warmer, it is not unusual for your feet, ankles and legs to swell; however, it is critical to also discuss this with your doctor, especially as you have mentioned that you are experiencing mild chest pain. The swelling can be benign due to the heat of summer and water retention as a result of too much sodium in your diet. It could be related to CHF (congestive heart failure) or another cardiac related issue.

I would suggest that you make an appointment with your doctor on Monday. Should you be uncomfortable over the weekend, proceed to the ER for treatment.

In the interim, you need to relax, take some Benadryl if you have some (this can be purchased over the counter) This may help the lip & tongue swelling if it is an allergy. Lay on the couch with your legs elevated higher than your heart. Severely restrict your sodium intake to also help with the ankle swellling.

Take a look at the info links I have provided and let me know if you have any other questions. I will be here on and off all weekend, if you have more questions or want to let me know how you are doing.
