Under my left are is a large one inch hard very sore ...

Under my left are is a large one inch hard very sore bump. Can you tell me something about this? I am healthy and active. This is a swollen lymph node. How does it happen, what helps it to go away?

It is possibly a swollen lymphnode as a result of an infection in an area close to that lymphnode like some place on arm , in the armpit or on the shoulder area. You may need antibiotic prescription. Please see a doctor.
