I have a herniated disk at C6/7 (confirmed on MRI) .which was very painful for 3 weeks and then the pain just stopped. I still have numbness into my right index finger and if I use the right hand for routine household duties it becomes worse. My right arm although dominant is weaker than the left, especially the triceps. Two neurosurgeons recommended a wait and see period since the pain ceased. They said if the numbness or weakness became worse I should have surgery to remove the disk and replace with cadaver bone. I am not anxious to do this and have heard of minimally invasive spine surgery. I would like your opinion.     Thank you very much.
