Question

head pain

Sent to Health Experts September 18, 2006 6:26 p.m.

I have a knot on the top left side of my head. I has been there for 5-6 years. At first, it was sore and occassionally felt as if the inside of my head was being poked with a fork. Now it is just plain sore. My head hurts but not like a headache. When the wind blows my hair, it is very painful. It also itchs, not on the surface, but inside..I head makes me very tired. Lately, I have had some trouble with my arms/hands going completely numb where I could not use my hands for a brief period. Sometimes, I feel like I have been hit with a baseball bat.
How it think this all started...I had surgery...after coming home...I had lumps over the next couple of years that moved from the IV site in my right arm up over the biceps. Later feeling pressure in the upper right shoulder, then heat and pressure in the base of neck and back of head. This seemed to end about the time the knot appeared on the head. This all begain in '96. I did go to a docter about the lumps in my arm..the doctor took an xray of my arm...said there was nothing wrong.
