Thoracic Outlet Syndrome and Chest Pain
Sent to Health Experts September 18 11:02 PM

I often have chest pain. The pain, not severe, just enough to concern me, starts in the center of my chest, more towards the left side, right around my collar bone, and goes up my neck and down part of my back. Sometimes it is associated with my arm/hand tingling. Sometime my arm tingles without having any of the chest pain. I am 26 and have 2 children. I have had several echos and been told that other than a heart murmur, everything is fine. I had a Spinal Fusion at the age of 12 because I have Congenital Scoliosis. The orthopaedic surgeon said there isn't a doctor in the country that would touch my neck with a 10 foot pole. He said my neck was a "jumbled mess". I have several extra discs that he wanted to fix but he said my nerves were so wrapped around them, he was afraid to mess with them. I also have an extra rib. I guess my question is, could this be Thoracic Outlet Syndrome? I've had the chest pain off and on since I was about 10, and nothing has ever happened to me, and like I said my echos were fine. So from my understanding my heart is pretty well in the clear. What else is causing this?
