I have nerve pain that goes from my shoulder to the second and middle finger and caused painful itching at times that goes and comes, and some feelings of numbness that comes and goes. Is this neuragia or shingles? I had Chicken pox as a child but never. to my knowledge, had shingles. I use my right arm constantly and have been told by my chiropractor that I have muscle nerve involvement in my shoulder muscles that are causing this pain. The pain is gone most of the time and hits me when I'm sleeping. I think it's because of the way i have my arm positioned when sleeping that causes my arm to ache and the nerve pain in my two fingers. I also wonder if it's the beginning of neuropathy in that hand? Who knows? Thanks, Dorothy

i am on neurotin, 300 mg for neuropathy in my feet which, over the last 4 years has signficantly subsided. A specialist told me to stop eating fruit to lower my triclycerides to reduce the symptoms of neuropathy in my feet and all those nerve pain is gone. I take neurotin every night. Maybe I should talk to my doctor about increasing my neurontin to help me with my shoulder/ finger nerve pain?
