knee tendon

Sent to Health Experts August 21 02:44 PM

I was working for about 2 months this summer building a fence in my yard and many times I was down on one knee or both, sometimes on concrete. I now have a burning pain sensation on the left side of my left leg around the knee area every time I go down on my knee or press in the tendon area between the knee cap and the bump whatever that is just down from the kneecap.. It has been about 3 weeks since I quit going down on my knees and it continues to burn when pressed. Is this going to turn into arthritis or is that not a possiblility??.. I can walk, jump, run without pain and move it it any normal direction without pain except pressure from kneeling.. Is this a serious problem or just temporary inflamation? any thing I should do now?..except stay off my knees? I'm not overweight and never had any knee problems or injuries before this.
