Question

I have arthritis and nerve pain in my chest wall and ribb ...

Sent to Health Experts January 21, 2006 8:41 p.m.

I have arthritis and nerve pain in my chest wall and ribb cage. i've been in pain for at least 7 years and i have not gone to a doctor yet that can give me much relief. None of the doctors want to give me pain medication for fear that i will become addicted, they will give it for a month and switch to something else. Just recently I was given a nerve block and a presripton for Hydrocodone and i was feeling better then i have in years, but when i went back to the doctor he would not give either one again and he put me on lycria 3 times a day ( i've also been on neurontin and cymbalta in the past , none have helped the pain). What do i do to get the pain killers that i need? I have never been addicted to any kind of medicine and i always take it exactly as i should but it seems that doctors are very scared to give it and i don't know what to do?
