I have lower back problems and have had MRI's and blocks and edidurals done in the past. Now my doctor recommends exercise and darvocet. I have been taking the darvocet for a few years; 6 daily. My doctor will no longer prescribe any more darvocet. I have no health insurance and cannot afford anything not generic, such as Celebrex. what can I do? Are there any doctors anywhere who will prescribe the darvocet?

Thank you for your help. I agree that suddenly stopping the darvocet would be cruel; especially that I had bloodwork done and everything was normal. To be honest I think these docs aren't interested in you the minute you tell them you have no insurance. One doc actually wanted me to have another MRI after two years and my symptoms hadn't changed at all. When I told him I no longer had insurance he actually said "well, you really don't need another MRI anyway". I felt like I was in a used car sales lot. Kathy
