Hello:

I am going to suggest that you see your physician. If you are in excellent health as stated in your post and the tingling in your hands, coupled with pain are all that you are experiencing it could be the onset of Arthritis or Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

If the problem is Arthritis you may have a burning sensation as well. Though you should want to allow your doctor to monitor this, Glucosamine is an excellent suplement for this. It can be purchased at your local department store in the natural supplement section close to the pharmacy. Sometimes it will be Glucosamine/Chondroiten mixed. This supplement aids in replacing the fluids that are found between joints in the body naturally. Arthritis pain occurs when joints rub together due to loss of this buffering gel.

If the problem is onset Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, your doctor may refer you to a neurologist for a follow up. Surgery is not always recommended for this. Frequently, in its initital stage an Occupational Therapist will provide a brace, excercises for the hand and an anti-inflammatory (such as Motrin) therapy for 30 days to see if this provides relief.

If this information has been helpful to you then please do ACCEPT. Positive feedback is also appreciated. Let me now if I can help you further.

Best of Luck in Finding the Appropriate Relief:-)

Reply to Theresa Romaker's Post: As it turns out we think it may have been some kind of flu. He was not feeling well overall yesterday (I wrote a supplementary comment to this service about these additional symptoms that came on after my initial inquiry).

We wer also concerned about circulatory and neurological issues, maybe diabetes as well. However, now he is feeling better and the pain and tingling in his hands have also improved.

Therefor none of these diagnosises seem to fit. However, thank you for your time.
