cancer concerns
Sent to Health Experts January 08 08:19 AM

I am 23 years old, I was diagnosed with a thyroid problem several years ago (hypothyroidism) and I recently had a miscarage. They told me it was a molar pregnancy which I found out soon after that it was choriocarcinoma, I didn't know I was preagnant until after the misscarraige so no medical treatment was taken to adjust what needed to be done with my thyroid. Could my thyroid problem be the cause of the molar pregnancy? The reason I am asking is because I am having trouble with my insurance they won't cover any treatment because of the misscarriage. if you could be of help I would appreciate it

sincerely,
frustrated with the insurance company

Thank you for your response. The reason I ask is because my insurance will not cover any of the treatment I require or have already had due to they deam the cancer to be caused by the miscarrage. My doctor however said he did not thing that was the case, due to my past medical history. My insurance says that I have to give other possibilities before they will cover me. Last week I found out that the cancer was not all gone and I have to go back for more intense treatment. I'm only 23 and don't make the kind of money it is costing me. I have applied for financial help but nothing. I was just looking for other possibilities that might apply in my situation. I also have rhumatoid arthritis (diagnosed at age 3) I was diagnosed with severe depression a few years back though I am feeling better now. This is my first pregnancy, and like I said I had no idea until I ended up in the hospital. If there are any other options you may have for me as well I would greatly appreciate it, and thank you for your response to my earlier email.
