Asthma

Im a 27 year old female and here is my question. Im having a real hard time with my asthma lately.Call it severe. My doctor keeps handing me prescriptions for predisone, flovent and albuterol inhalers. Which needless to say I go through the albuterol within a week. I have a nebulizer which I had since I was a kid. Still my doctor refuses to give me the prescription for the machine and makes me go through these inhalers which 1 out of 10 dont work. Is there any reason why he wont give me the meds for the machine that does work, and I can afford instead of these costly inhalers?
