I am diabetic+hypertension+panic disorder. I am allergic to penicillen +sulfa +percodan+lodine+ Have problems with asthma meds. Have low tolerance to meds.
I am on Ziac-5mg daily +Xanax 0.5-4 daily-Amaryl-2mg--2 daily. I have problems keeping my sugar level down. My
"norm" is in the 200's. Glophoage will send it up to 500 and I end up in the hospital. They cannot get it below 200. I have tried shots-Lantus-Humilin 70/30. THe problem is my sugar level goes up when I take the diabetic meds. When I feel it going up--if feels like an allergic reaction. I take 2 Benadryl+ a Zanax and then everything relaxes and my blood pressure and sugar level will go down. The sugar level is getting harder to control. I watch my diet. There has to be something blocking the diabetic meds from working. Can the Ziac(which-if you are allergic to this med (sulfa) be interfering with the diabetic meds? I have bee dealing with this since 1999. I dont think I can deal with it much longer. There are no diabetic doctors in this town and I cant make it to another town. I need some help and some answers. I also want to know if it is the Ziac(sulfa) and I take sulfanaze diabetic meds--wouldnt that increase the sulfa amount and that would push my sugar level up. What blood pressure medication would I switch to that would take the place of Ziac. I am a a loss as what to do next. Thanks you--Virginia Hack vlhac@wmconnectcom
