when laughing, i choke and cough, usually producing a thick mucus discharge. i wheeze trying to intake air.
just had an endoscopy, it was fine except gastritis which was biopsied. no results yet.

Have they checked to see if you have any scar tissue on your lungs that could be causing this.Asthma, Bronchitis, and scar tissue on your lungs from past respiratory infections will cause this type of discharge. Also if you do smoke then this could be adding to the issue as well. But they should do an MRI or scan of your lungs to see if this could be related to asthma or scar tissue if this has been going on for awhile.

did i make it clear the wheezing was after coughing which started when i laughed? when i read my question it wasn't clear. did have a chest xray 3 months ago which was fine.
