what can it be when a person have a bowel movement with blood??

lately i have been having asthma and my stomach has been hurting and now i have blood in my bowel movements i used to smoke not that much maybe a pack a week but when i started getting asthma i quit and i used to drink liquor and beer but i quit that too im only 28 and this has me really scared
